DeeperLife is a diverse program of discipleship-based learning tracks for adults. It is aimed at helping adults deepen their relationship with God and their understanding of the Bible. First Baptist will offer these classes on a regular basis with the intent of helping adults grow in their depth of spiritual understanding and commitment to Christ.
The semesters of learning will come in several forms. Some will have classroom learning combined with home study and others may involve work outside of the church. Either way DeeperLife is aimed at challenging us to become more than we are now - to grow deeper in our relationship with God. Do you really want to grow in your relationship with God? Then let us help by planning now to attend FBC's DeeperLife.
Who should be involved in DeeperLife?
All adults. If you're an adult and enjoy learning and growing in your relationship with God, then you need to be in DeeperLife. During active semesters of DeeperLife all of the adult Wednesday evening studies will be a part of this program. The weekly Wednesday evening prayer service is continued in the new Prayer & Bible Study service.
Why DeeperLife?
Variety and flexibility. Needs, both physically and spiritually, vary from person to person. DeeperLife will offer adults an opportunity to choose a course of study that matches their present need or desire.
Is their an expense in taking a class?
Only if a course has a literature requirement. Many courses have daily workbooks that expand and multiply the learning experience outside of class time. Most any class can be audited (taking a class w/o benefit of purchasing needed materials) but this will affect your learning experience.
Why should I Register?
Registration helps in the assigning of classroom space and ordering needed literature. Please, register as soon as possible.
What about my children?
To make sure that childcare and other facilities are available during your class time, please record on your registration form the number and ages of the children you will bring.
What if I can't afford the material?
Financial assistance for the purchase of materials is provided on a case-by-case need. Please contact us (fbc@fbcsuffolk.org) for any needed help. (Needs will be held confidential.)
