This week we will look at one of the most mind-blowing prophecies in the Bible, in Daniel 9:24-27, as we talk about “Daniel’s Faithful Prayer…God’s Final Answer.”
Sometimes it seems as if the world is just spiraling out of control…as if history is simply spinning. But the Word of God tells us something different, namely that a sovereign God is in control and that history is in His hand! Furthermore, God has His hand on the Jewish people. This week marked the one year anniversary of one of the most horrific events of our times – the October 7, 2023 massacre in Israel. Be praying for Israel and the Jewish people, who are surrounded by enemies on every side, but who also seem to be surrounded by angels on every side! As He has time and time again, God is protecting Israel and granting Israel victories that can only be described as miraculous. Even within the past month we have seen this!
And this Sunday we will see more about what God’s Word has to say about His plan for the Jewish people. But as we talked about last Sunday, the fact that God keeps his promises to Israel also means that He keeps His promises to you. What are you facing today? Do you realize you can trust God with it?
This is one of the reasons God gives us the blessing of corporate worship on the Lord’s Day – to build up our trust in Him as we meet together, praise Him together, dig into His Word, and encourage one another. I look forward to doing again with you this Sunday! Come prayed up and bring a friend.
