This Sunday we will begin walking through another incredible chapter of Daniel, chapter 9. In some ways, this is the most difficult part of Daniel to understand – particularly verses 20-27. I believe you will emerge from our study with a clear understanding of what is going on in those verses, but before we get to them, there are so many other treasures in this chapter that we must discover.

Much of chapter 9 is filled with a prayer that Daniel makes to the living God. In verses 4-19 we see what is surely one of the greatest prayers in the Bible, and really a model of prayer for us. So we will take some time to delve into that, since prayer is so vital to the Christian life.

But this Sunday we will confine ourselves to Daniel 9:1-3 and talk about “How God Brings It All Together.” The beginning of chapter 9 is an amazing statement about the faithfulness of God to His Word. We will stop and look back at Daniel’s journey thus far in the Book and see how God has allowed him to endure. We will look at the prophecies of Jeremiah and Isaiah, and how God is now bringing them to pass as chapter 9 begins. And, as always, we will see Jesus in all of it. All of God’s Word comes together in Him.

This Sunday, we will once again meditate on our Savior’s goodness and grace as we take The Lord’s Supper. I am excited to begin walking through the incredible 9th chapter of Daniel with you this Sunday, and looking forward to coming to the table with you as my brothers and sisters.
