As you receive this, I will be in Budapest with our missionaries. Please pray for these meetings to be fruitful. Melissa, Cassidy, and I are grateful to represent you as we build relationships with and encourage our people there. They are grateful for churches like FBC that are so generous and engaged with the IMB! 

I am grateful to Dr. Jordan Jones for bringing the Word this past Sunday. The next time you come to Nahum in your Bible reading, you will remember this message and the Holy Spirit will use it to deepen your understanding.  

This Sunday (June 16th) is Father’s Day, and Wilson will be bringing a great message from 1 Corinthians 4. He shared some of his exposition of this passage with me, and I am excited for you to hear it! It will bless not only fathers, but all who listen. Happy Father’s Day in advance to our dads! 

On Sunday, June 23, I will be back in the pulpit and we will be digging into Daniel 2:26-35, as we ask the question, “Where Is History Headed?” I’m excited to get back into King Nebuchadnezzar’s fascinating dream with you! 

At the end of the service on June 23rd, we will have a special time of recognition for our Pastor’s Secretary of the past 23 years, Janet Wood. Janet and Steve are moving to the South Hill, VA area to be close to their two daughters and their families. While we are super happy that God has worked it out for their family to be together, we are sad to see Janet go! She has been an incredible blessing, not only to me and our pastors, but to our entire church family. I know you’ll want to speak to her after the service and perhaps bring a card to express your love to her. What a fantastic job Janet has done, for well over two decades! 

I am praying for you and looking forward to seeing you on June 23rd…with a Bible in my hand.
