This Sunday is Palm Sunday, and to get our hearts ready for Passion Week, we are going to look at the Transfiguration of our Lord, from Luke 9:28-36.  The message will be, “Light On The Mountain.” 

We do not hear enough about the Transfiguration of Christ!  What happened on that mountain?  What did Peter, James, and John witness?  Why did it happen?  What was being communicated to them, and to us? 

We’ll talk about these things this Sunday.  One of the things we will see is that Moses and Elijah appeared on the mount, talking with Jesus.  And what were they talking about?  “They appeared in glory and were speaking of his departure, which he was about to  accomplish in Jerusalem” (Luke 9:31). 

That is what we are focusing on in these days leading up to Easter – what our Lord accomplished for us during those days of the Passion, in Jerusalem.
