This Sunday we begin a two-week series on Paul’s letter to Philemon.  This short letter is personal and powerful.  It is the companion to Colossians, which we just finished this past Sunday.  The two letters were written and delivered at the same time.  (Philemon is a man who is a member of the church at Colossae.)

We are calling this little series, Philemon:  The Road to Reconciliation.  As believers, we have been reconciled to God through His Son.  As children of God through Christ, we are to love our brothers and sisters, and that means working through issues we have.  Paul writes Philemon to facilitate reconciliation between Philemon and Onesimus.  His letter is deeply touching and deeply impactful.  May the Spirit use it greatly in our lives!

This Sunday, we’ll look at Philemon 1-12.  The message is entitled “My Very Own Heart.”
