Pastor's Post- May 13, 2025

This Sunday we will look at John 9:1-41, as we talk about “The 6th Sign:  Seeing Jesus.”

This is one of my favorite chapters in John.  It is filled with our Lord’s compassion and tenderness and truth.  His heart for the hurting and the lost is on full display.  That includes his heart for sinners who do not recognize their sin, and who are thus placing themselves under judgment.

Do you see your sin and your need for the Savior?  That is the prerequisite for being saved from your sin.  Let us pray for those in our lives who are blind to their own sin, that they be given eyes to see it, and see their need for the Savior.

This Sunday we will celebrate the baptism of a young student and celebrate the baby dedication of the child of one of our new young couples.  God is mightily at work in our church, bringing people to himself, and bringing them into Christ’s church.  Let’s keep fanning the flame of the Spirit, beginning with our own lives.

I’ll see you on Sunday.  Be in prayer for it and invite a friend to join you.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,

Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr.
