This week, as we continue walking through the Gospel of John in our Believe series, we will be in John 3:22-36 – the title of the message is, “It’s Not About You.” This passage gives us insight into John the Baptist, who understood that his life was all about giving glory to Jesus. He pointed away from himself and toward the Lord. That’s what we are called to do – point to Jesus through our lives and our lips. This week we have seen the inauguration of a new President in our nation. Please remember to pray for President Trump. As 1 Timothy 2:1-2 commands us, “Pray for kings and all those who are in authority.” They have great influence and great responsibility and need the prayers of God’s people. Therefore, pray for President Trump and his wife and family. Pray also for Vice-President Vance and his wife and young children. Pray for their protection. Pray for their leadership. Pray for the team members around them. Pray that our nation will flourish, and that our flourishing will impact the whole world for good. I’ll see you on Sunday, as we dig into the Word together.
