What a joy it has been to walk through the Gospel of John with you on Sunday mornings!  It has been over a decade since I have preached through John from beginning to end, and it is yielding treasures I have never seen before.  That’s how it is with the Bible – as we continue to study it afresh, and continue to dig and mine for gold, the treasures just keep on coming throughout our lives.  We have advanced through part of chapter 5 and will keep right on going.

This weekend, our family will leave for a cruise and return the following weekend.  Wilson and David will be preaching from Romans 1 over the next two weeks.  What a majestic chapter in God’s Word this is!  You’ll enjoy hearing from our other pastors.  We are so blessed to have the team that we have at FBC. 

Speaking of our team, what a joy to recognize Cary Perry this past Sunday for her 20 years of service at FBC.  Cary is such a key part of our team, as she works with finances and other areas in our office.  Thanks for everything Cary – your church family loves and appreciates you!

God is very much at work in and through our FBC family in these days.  There are so many new faces and there is such a great spirit of love in our church.  We are very, very blessed.
