Pastor Post - October 26, 2021

This week, as we continue our study of Esther, we will look at Esther 5-6, and see what happens “When God Displays His Power.”

This has been a thrilling series to work on!  Esther contains such a great message for our lives and “for such a time as this.” Speaking of our times, let me encourage you to get out and vote in our state and local elections, which will be held on Tuesday.  There are so many issues on the ballot:  The sanctity of life, our schools, our economy, and the whole drift of our culture.  Be praying and show up at the polls, if you haven’t already voted.

What a joy to welcome another person to the family of God and to the FBC family.  This past Sunday, Kevin Henley publically professed his faith in Jesus Christ.  Kevin was on the receiving end of your love, as our congregation stepped in to assist those impacted by the Suffolk Towers fire.  He began attending, and you welcomed him with open arms of love.  The Holy Spirit works in hearts through the love of God’s people!  Kevin recently prayed to follow Jesus and will be baptized soon as a believer.  Praise God!  Welcome, Kevin!

I hope to see you on Friday night at Fall Festival/Trunk or TreatThis is a wonderful opportunity to reach out to our community and have some fun together.  May gospel conversations flow, may relationships be built, may existing relationships be strengthened, and may God be glorified.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
