Listed below are various opportunities to participate in the music ministry here at First Baptist Suffolk. Our goal is to lead people to be worshipers of God in "spirit and in truth" (John 4:23-24), and strive to do so with skill and excellence.
Praise Band - Our worship services are greatly enhanced by those who play instruments that are used in the praise band. Guitars, bass guitar, drums, percussion, keyboard, and piano are all used to enhance the congregational music. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30pm in the sanctuary.
Audio/Visual - We could not effectively serve in these ways, of course, without the help of a team that works behind the scenes helping the whole service to run smoothly. Our audio and visual team greatly help by running the soundboard, running the lyrics on the computer, recording the service, and much more. If you love music but prefer to work behind the scenes, this is the perfect place for you to serve.
