How wonderful it has been this week seeing all these precious children laughing and learning about Jesus on our church campus! VBS is such a sweet and strategic event on our annual church calendar, and we praise God that we were able to have it again this year. I am so thankful for Wilson, Colette Dolen, and all our workers, who served with such joy and dedication! Pray that the Holy Spirit will take the seeds of the gospel that were sown this week and bring forth fruit that remains for His glory.  

This Sunday we welcome one of our new members, Darrell Thomsen, to bring God’s Word at FBC. Before his retirement in 2019, Darrell was one of the Senior Chaplains in the U.S. Army. You can read more about his life and distinguished career in another part of our newsletter but let me say this: Darrell and Kitty are great people, and I know they will be a blessing in our congregation. You will love them. Darrell has already been such an encourager to me. He knows what it is like to be a pastor, he understands leadership, and he has the heart of an encourager.
