Pastor Post - April 29, 2020

Dear FBC Family,

I pray that you and your family are doing well, and I am looking forward to the day when we can meet together for worship again.  We don’t know exactly when that can be, but let’s pray that it will be sooner rather than later.

The prayers of God’s people are so important for bringing an end to this pandemic.  Please pray faithfully for breakthroughs on effective treatments and a vaccine.  We might not be physically in the laboratories where these things are being developed, but through our prayers we can have a massive impact on the ability of scientists to make these discoveries.  Why?  Because these breakthroughs will come from God, and God answers prayer.

And that’s exactly what we are going to be talking about online this Sunday.  We are going to look at Matthew 7:7-11, and talk about “God’s Delight In Answering Prayer.”  I hope you’ll plug in via Facebook or our church website.  Settle down with an open Bible and an open heart, and drink in God’s Word.  We might not be able to physically gather right now, but God understands that and he will work in your heart.

Let me again encourage you to stay plugged in to your brothers and sisters in Christ, through your calls, zoom meetings, etc…  We need one another.  Be proactive about staying plugged in.  You need it, and your brothers and sisters need you.

We are going to get through this, and I am firmly convinced that we will come out stronger and better on the other side.  If I or any of our pastors or church staff can serve you in any way, you just let us know.  We love you and are here for you.

Yours in Christ,

Pastor Thurman
