Pastor Post - August 2, 2017

It’s great to be back in the swing of things, and we are looking forward to an awesome August at FBC. It was good to be back in the pulpit Sunday, and I am grateful to Lindsay for filling in on June 23rd. We are so blessed with the preachers and teachers in our church!

This Sunday we will study one of the most emotional and revealing passages in Acts, as Paul says his good-bye to the Ephesian elders in Acts 20:17-38. As you read over this text in preparation for Sunday, meditate on the following:

  • In what ways is Paul a role model for us?

  • What do we see about his character in verses 18-19?

  • What do we see about his preaching and teaching in verses 20-27?

  • What do we see about his relationships in verses 28-38?

We all need role models. I hope to see you this Sunday as we talk about “A Role Model For Life.”

Remember to pray for our mission team in Bangkok, Thailand. They left early Tuesday morning and will be doing ministry – primarily among refugees – alongside Martin and Carrie Chappell. Pray for gospel fruit.

As I visit with the many new people who are visiting our church, one thing consistently comes up in conversation: The warmth that guests feel at our church. You are making that happen, by being such a loving and welcoming family. I love our church, and I’m excited about what God is doing among us!

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
