As you read this week’s column I will be somewhere in southern Europe, visiting with gospel workers that could not be on the field without your support.  It is churches like ours, who give faithfully to the Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, that send and sustain these precious heralds of the good news all over the world.     

As you read these words, please pray for me and the workers I am visiting with over the next few days.  And pray for the people they are sharing the love of Christ with.  I will get to be with many of them as well.  I can’t wait to share with you what God is doing among the nations, and how He is using your steadfast support!  

I will be back in the pulpit on August 15^th.  This Sunday our preacher will be Dr. Jordan Jones, one of our new members.  Jordan serves as Professor of Hebrew and Old Testament at Regent.  He and Rachel have already become an active part of our FBC family, and they are wonderful people.  They have three children, Kelsie, Kennan, and Kohen.  I’m sure you will enjoy hearing Jordan bring the Word on Sunday!
