Pastor Post - December 4, 2019

What a great blessing to have Dr. Paul Chitwood, our IMB President, with us this past Sunday.  Paul brought a tremendous message from Isaiah 56 in which he challenged us to ask ourselves, “Why are you here?”

Part of the answer to that is to impact others.  One of the biggest ways you can do that is through your giving.  This Sunday will be our Ingathering for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  At the end of the service, you’ll have an opportunity to bring your gift forward.

Our goal as a church family is $65,000.  The difference you can make in human lives is incalculable.  Will you prioritize the lost this Christmas by giving your best?  If you have been blessed, will you give in an extraordinary way?

As an IMB Trustee, I know what this offering does.  I know what it means.  There are many good organizations out there, but very few are as strategic as the International Mission Board.  Your gift will be used to love the spiritually and physically impoverished, pointing to the One who showed ultimate love.  It will enable more missionaries to be sent.  It will enable more people around the world to come to Christ, be discipled, and have a healthy church family to be a part of, so that more disciples can be made and more churches planted.  It will enable the spiritual darkness that grips much of the world to be pushed back.  It will make an eternal difference!

This Sunday we will also begin a new sermon series for Advent.  It will be called A Light In The Darkness:  A Study Of John 1:1-18Our message will be “Light and Life” from John 1:1-5.

See you on Sunday!
