This Sunday we will look at Isaiah 52:7-12, as we talk about “The Victory of God.”  

Wow…is this text encouraging!  I can’t wait to preach it.  Jesus has won the victory, through his death for sinners, and his resurrection from the dead.  He is now ascended and exalted at the right hand of the Father, and will return to rule and reign.  

Let us go forth and herald this to the nations. 

The Apostle Paul quotes Isaiah 52:7 in Romans 10:14-15, one of the great missionary texts of the New Testament.  “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.” 

When people who have never heard the good news, who are living under the sentence of sin and death, see someone approaching with news that sin and death have been defeated – the feet of that approaching messenger are beautiful!  

Let us go to the nations with the joyful announcement that Jesus has won the victory.  Let us send others to go.  As Paul says in the same verse, “How can they preach unless they are sent?”
