This Sunday will be a special treat.  Since it falls the day before Valentine’s Day, I thought it would be great for us to hear about love and marriage from one of the most inspiring husbands I know – one of FBC’s own, Lindsay Poteat.  Months ago, as I looked at this date, I thought of Lindsay and his bride, Barbara, and their story.  I asked Lindsay to share about Christ-like love, especially in marriage, and weave in the journey he and Barbara have been on.  

Lindsay has asked us to pray two things for him:  First, that God would give him the emotional strength to share, and, second, that you and friends you may invite will join us.  I’m sure the Spirit will use it to bless our hearts as the love of Christ is lifted up.  Be praying for Lindsay and bring friends.  

Both of these people have been great encouragers to me, for many years.  I’m praying God will use their story to encourage you!  

What a joy to see yet another baptized this past Sunday – be praying for Ryan Bush, who was baptized as a new follower of Christ, and for Leilah and Jonah Kramer, who were baptized a couple of Sundays ago.  How wonderful to witness new life in Christ!  

I will see you on Sunday, ready, like you, to be fed from God’s Word through God’s servant.
