This Sunday, as we continue to walk through Romans, we will finish chapter one by looking at Romans 1:18-32, which is all about “Why We Need The Gospel.” 

As you read over these verses, think about the following: 

• In verse 18, Paul says the “wrath” of God “is” being revealed. What mistake can we make when we think about the wrath of God? Also, we know there is a future wrath of God, but why does Paul speak of it here in the present tense? 

• In verse 17, we saw that the gospel reveals the “righteousness” of God, which we can access by faith. Why is this so important in light of verse 18? 

• Three times Paul repeats the phrase “God gave them up” (verses 24, 26, and 28). What does this mean? 

• How does all sin flow from the sin of idolatry?
