Pastor Post - January 17, 2024

This week we will dig into 2 Timothy 1:13-18 and talk about “Keystones of Christian Living.”  As always, I encourage you to read over the text in advance and pray for the service.  Remember, the living God can do beautiful things that are impossible for human beings to do.  Pray for Him to be at work when we gather for worship on Sunday.

Also, who is out there that you can invite to join you in worship?  Recently, one of our members shared that when he invites people to join him at church, they look at him with a mixture of shock and gratitude.  First, they are shocked that someone is inviting them.  This should not be the case.  Christians should be inviting unchurched friends to church as a normal course of life. Unfortunately, it is not normal.  They are not used to Christians taking much of an interest in them.  What a shame!  Second, most unchurched people are grateful to be invited.  Whether they come or not, they are thankful that someone cares about them.

So Christian friends, invite your unchurched friends and family members to church.  At FBC-Suffolk, two things will be guaranteed every Sunday:  First, they will hear the good news of Jesus Christ.  Second, they will be welcomed warmly by our people – we have a very loving church.  Just invite them.  Many will respond.

I’ll see you this Sunday, ready to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ!

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
