Pastor Post - January 18, 2023

It was great to get into our new series this past Sunday.  In Tell Me The Story Of Jesus, we are going to study the Gospel of Luke by looking at some key texts, all of which lead us to the cross and resurrection.  Between now and Easter, be digging into Luke.  Marinate in it.  What an exciting story it tells…a story we are to go and tell.

This week, we’ll be in Luke 5:1-32.  The message is entitled, “The Great Disturber.”  We will look at four fast-moving episodes that occur back-to-back in chapter 5.  All of them involve Jesus upsetting the status quo.

You see, he will not allow us to get too comfortable as we follow him.  When we start getting in a rut, he “upsets the apple cart.”  He challenges our presuppositions and takes us out of our comfort zones.

But here’s the thing – he does all that to shape us and mold us to be more like him.  The Great Disturber knows exactly what he is doing.

Read over Luke 5:1-32, and I’ll see you this Sunday.  Call a friend and invite them to join you.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
