This Sunday we will look at the beautiful Psalm 81.  The title of my message will be “Honey From The Rock.”  Read Psalm 81, and you’ll see why! 

This is a song that mingles celebration, admonition, invitation, warning, remembrance, and encouragement from God’s incredible promises.  

I believe God will use us to draw us to himself, that what is said in 1 Corinthians 10:4 may be said of us:  “For they drank from the spiritual rock…and that rock was Christ.” 

Pastoral transitions are times of rejoicing mingled with sadness.  That is certainly the case with Miguel and Leslee and their sweet family moving to West Virginia.  We are sad to see them go, but rejoicing at God’s call and the opportunity in front of them.  We’ll have a few weeks to say good-bye, and we would like to send them forth with a tangible expression of our love.  On Sunday, August 16^th, we will have a special love offering for them.  If you won’t be here that day but would like to give, you can just send it to the church by mail or bring it by the office. 

Love you guys and see you on Sunday, whether in the sanctuary or on the screen!
