Pastor Post - March 19, 2024

This Sunday is Palm Sunday, a special date on the Christian calendar.  We remember that Jesus rode into Jerusalem at the beginning of Passion Week to die for our sins and be raised.  Accordingly, this Sunday we will take a close look at the day our Lord was crucified, and on Easter Sunday we will take a close look at His resurrection.

Our text for this Palm Sunday will be Mark 15:15-39.  The message is “Truly This Man Was The Son Of God!” Read and pray over this text in advance of Palm Sunday.

What a joy to see you coming forward on Sunday with your “Who’s Your One?” cards.  They are not just cards…they are people who need the Lord…people you are praying for…people you are sharing the gospel with…people you are inviting to our church to learn more.  Who knows the many beautiful things our great God will do in the years to come? Who knows the eternal impact?

Thanks for being such a loving church.  You can know that when you bring unchurched friends to FBC-Suffolk, they will meet lots of people who will love them and welcome them warmly, and they will hear the good news of Jesus proclaimed.

Thanks for having a big heart for evangelism and missions.  This is the heartbeat of Christ, and it is part of the DNA of our church.  God blesses this commitment.  He has blessed our church for almost 200 years.  Let’s continue to stay faithful to the things he blesses:  Winning the lost, discipling the saved, and preaching the Word of God in an expository way.  Let us give generously toward those ends, and let us serve our King with all our hearts!

I’ll see you on Palm Sunday, as we praise Him, dig into His Word, and celebrate the Supper He ordained.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
