Pastor Post - March 23, 2022

Pray for me this week, as I will be in South Asia on a trip related to my service as a Trustee of the International Mission Board.  As you read this, I should be on the ground, meeting with our missionaries, and getting to know national believers and church leaders.  God is doing incredible things in this part of South Asia, with multitudes of people coming to Christ, and our group was asked to go and be a part of a study that is being done on this work of the Spirit.  Be praying for a fruitful trip, and for my return on Monday.

This Sunday, one of FBC’s own, Don Davidson, will be preaching at FBC.  Don is not only a dear friend, but one of my favorite preachers.  He always brings God’s Word in such a fresh and compelling way.  You are in for a treat.

FBC has been such a great sending church, having raised up and sent out so many pastors, missionaries, and others in vocational ministry.  Don was baptized at FBC, nurtured in our children’s and student ministries, and ordained by our church.  He recently retired as Senior Pastor of FBC-Alexandria.  Don is married to Audrey, who will be with him on Sunday.  I know you’ll welcome them warmly.

As I travel on trips like this, I not only represent the IMB…I represent you. The great work of the International Mission Board could not take place without churches who faithfully support the work, and people within those churches who give.  Thank you for giving, that people in our community and around the world can come to know our Savior and King.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
