Pastor Post - May 30, 2018
It was wonderful this past Sunday to be back in the pulpit, after a life-changing mission trip to Thailand! Thank you guys so much for your prayers and support. Courtney and I could feel them every step of the way, as God opened door after door for ministry.
In a way, FBC had already been used by God to open those doors, because ladies from our church had made stockings that many refugee families had received at Christmas. That made it very natural for me to share with them about the meaning of Christmas, and Easter. We were able to share the gospel with family after family, and your love paved the way!
Our friends from FBC are being used by God in some amazing ways in Bangkok. Continue to pray for them, their church, and the refugee ministry.
This Sunday will be bittersweet, as we say good-bye to Michael and Christina Anderson, and their sweet baby girl, Audrey. We are grateful – and I am personally grateful as a dad – for their wonderful ministry among us during the last four years. Right after church we’ll have a luncheon for them in the Family Life Center. I hope you’ll join us.
This Sunday is also Senior Day at FBC. We’ll have the opportunity to recognize our graduates and send them into the next chapter of their lives with our love and prayers.
We will also continue to walk through “The Great Eight” – the 8th chapter of Romans. Read and pray over Romans 8:5-11 in advance, as we talk about “Setting Our Minds On The Spirit.”
See you Sunday!
By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr.
