Pastor Post - May 31, 2017

This past Sunday, it was appropriate to pray for our military and their families as we remembered those who have given their lives for our nation. It is a blessing to pastor military families, and a blessing to pastor a church that cares so much for those families. May God bless those who serve, and their loved ones!

This week, as we continue our study of Acts, we will look at one of the sweetest promises of God’s Word, that he is causing all things to work together for good – even the painful things.

We will begin at the end of Acts 7, with the stoning of Stephen. Stephen was killed because of his faithful witness to Christ. It was tragic, but what did it lead to? Acts 8:1 says, “There arose that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria.” And what did that lead to? The spread of the gospel in Judea and Samaria!!

Do you see how God took what the enemy meant for evil and used it for good? He does that in our lives, too. We’ll talk about it this Sunday. Our message is…

“All Things For Good”

Acts 7:54-8:4; Acts 8:25-40

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,

Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr.
