This Sunday we will finish our study of Malachi as we look at Malachi 3:13-4:6.  The title of the message will be “Healing In His Wings.”  This final portion of this prophecy helps us look forward to Christmas and the coming of Christ.  You won’t want to miss it.  

Looking beyond this Sunday, on November 24 I’m going to be preaching a message focusing on Thanksgiving.  We will be in Psalm 100 if you want to read ahead.  We will also be celebrating the Lord’s Supper that day. 

Then, on December 1, Dr. Paul Chitwood, the President of the International Mission Board, will be preaching.  It is a tremendous blessing to be able to have Paul here – he is literally booked every Sunday for years.  Our church is among the leaders in the SBC in terms of support for the IMB.  This will give you the opportunity to have some face to face time with the leader of the primary recipient of our missions support.  As a trustee with IMB, I’ve come to know Paul as a friend, and I am confident he will be used by the Lord to help our missions force grow and reach every tribe and tongue.  That night, we will be joining with our worship team as they lead us in a special time of Christmas worship through “Jesus the King.”  Mark your calendars.  We’ve got some great things coming up at FBC over the next few weeks!
