Pastor Post - November 20, 2019

This Sunday we will focus on Thanksgiving and celebrate the Lord’s Supper together.

We have so much to be thankful for, beginning with the salvation we have in Christ.  Therefore, what an appropriate time to come to the Lord’s Table, and remember his blood shed for us, and his body broken for us.

To help us give thanks, we will study Psalm 100, which is really “A Psalm For Giving Thanks.”

It’s going to be a special Sunday of worship!

Also let’s be in prayer for December 1.  It is the first Sunday of Advent, and it will be a big day for FBC.  That morning we will be hosting the President of the International Mission Board, Dr. Paul Chitwood.  That evening we will get to experience a special time of music and worship through “Jesus The King.”

Then on December 8 we will have our Ingathering for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  Our goal is $65,000 for the last, the least, and the lost.  As Psalm 100 says, “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!”  Our desire is for joyful praise to resound to our God from every people and from every place on this earth!  The Lottie Moon Offering is an opportunity for you to play a direct part in sending missionaries to peoples and places in greatest need.  What will you and your family give?  Pray about it.

I’ll see you this Sunday, as we give thanks together!
