As you receive this, I pray that you have had a Happy Thanksgiving!  We have so much to be grateful for, beginning with the fact that God sent His Son to redeem us from sin and death.  

Now we turn our attention to Advent, the countdown to Christmas.  Beginning December 3^rd, we will begin a Christmas sermon series called, Home for Christmas.  It is all about coming home to God, where we belong.  

To do this, we will turn to the Psalms.  A recurring theme in the Psalms is coming home to God.  Returning to Him.  Finding our rest in Him.  As Augustine once said, “You have made us for yourself, O God, and our hearts are restless until we find our rest in You.” 

As we will see, this homecoming is not just for one nation or people.  It is for all peoples.  We are now eagerly looking forward to our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.  Our Ingathering service will be on December 10^th.  Our goal as a church is $60,000.  There is no more important gift we can give this Christmas than to send missionaries to share the good news of Christ with people who have never heard it, so that they can come home to God.  Be in prayer about your gift and be in prayer for this new series.
