Pastor Post - November 23, 2021

I pray that you are enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving week.  Truly, as those who have been rescued by Christ, we have so much to be thankful for!

That’s what we are going to be talking about this Sunday:  “Rescued To Be A Rescuer” from Romans 10:5-15.  As we prepare for our Lottie Moon Christmas Offering ingathering service on December 5, we are going to kick off our LMCO Week of Prayer by looking at one of the greatest biblical texts about missions.

I hope to see you this Sunday, as we celebrate our rescue and pledge ourselves to be used by the Lord to rescue others.  See you then!

Also this Sunday, I will be introducing you to a young couple that you are sending to a place where the gospel has not been heard.  “John and Rachel” are currently in training, and are preparing to be sent by our church, through our giving.  Since the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is all about sending Christian workers, I thought it would be eye-opening for you to meet a couple that is being trained and sent out by your offering.  I’m excited about you meeting them on Sunday, as I call them up for a brief interview.  This couple has local ties, and I am looking forward to our church keeping up with them after they go to the field and praying for them.

As we place orders and shop online for gifts during this Christmas season, remember the greatest Gift.  “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!”  That gift is Jesus.  Let’s be a part of bringing that greatest of all gifts to people around the world this Christmas.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
