Christmas will be in the air this Sunday at FBC!  Our sanctuary will be beautifully decorated, and we will begin a new series called Christmas Wonder.  I have been working hard on this series and am super-excited to share it with you!  

We live in a world that has forgotten how to be lost in wonder.  Hopelessness and joylessness are pervasive in our lost and broken culture.  But as followers of Christ, we are to be a people who are filled with wonder and astonishment at the goodness and glory of the God who has redeemed us.   

We are going to talk about some of the wonders of the gospel and the Christian life in this series.  The sermon titles are taken from some of the famous movies and songs of the season.  This Sunday: “It’s A Wonderful Life.”  Our text will be Romans 15:7-13.  This text will prepare us for our Week Of Prayer for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and our Ingathering on December 11^th.   

Read over the text, pray over it, and meditate on it.  What are some of the wonders of the gospel there?  Let’s talk about it on Sunday… 

Also, this Sunday evening at 6:30, join us for a special worship time of singing the great hymns of Christmas.  We will hear passages from God’s Word that inspired these songs we love to sing, and then we will sing them with all our hearts!  We’ll have refreshments and fellowship afterwards in the Welcome Center.   

So, it’s going to be a great Sunday.  Be in prayer for it and call a friend and invite them to join you.
