Pastor Post - October 25, 2017

It was a wonderful blessing to take six weeks and explore the book of Proverbs with you! This is a book we are meant to continually go back to throughout the course of our lives. Personally, my One Year Bible plan contains a couple of Proverbs each day, and I feel like I’m better off for reading this book daily.

A number of you have expressed a desire to go back and listen to the messages again and share them with friends. The easiest way – if your friend has a smart phone – is to get them to download our church app. All our Sunday morning sermons are there, on both audio and video. They can also get them on the website or on a CD. Particularly if you have a commute to work, I would encourage you to listen to sermons again. This will get the principles in deeper, for sure.

This Sunday, in preparation for our Thirst conference, I am going to preach a special, stand-alone message from Genesis 35:1-7. We’ll call it, “The Path To Personal Revival.”

We’re going to dive into the fascinating and, at times, twisted life of Jacob. Let’s just say his journey had lots of bends in the road! We’ll learn from those twists and turns, and see how Genesis 35 becomes a beautiful moment of repentance and renewal for him. This chapter will prepare us well for the Thirst Conference.

Speaking of the Conference, are you praying for it? Talking with friends about it? Making plans to bring friends? Praying for friends and family members in your life that you can invite? Come with a prayed up, prepared heart, and come with friends. We’re going to see that only Jesus can satisfy our thirst.

See you on Sunday!

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
