Pastor Post - October 26, 2022

This Sunday we will be in 1 Samuel 21-24, and talking about “Life On The Run.”

This is a period of time when David is quite literally running for his life.  Saul is chasing him…hunting him…with all the power of the state behind him.

It is a bleak, dark time for David.  He has been anointed as the rightful and future king, he is a man after God’s own heart, and yet he is hiding out in caves, and, at one point, pretending to be a crazy man to escape being killed.

Yet during this deep trial in his life, God is dealing with David in several ways.  We are going to look at some of those ways on Sunday.

We too go through dark periods where we can’t understand what is happening to us.  But God knows and loves his children, and he has everything under control.  He knows what he is doing.  He meets us in those valleys, and does deep, life-changing work in us, as he prepares to do a greater work through us.

We’ll see how that fleshes out in David’s life on Sunday…and how it applies to our lives.

Read over the text, call a friend and invite them to meet you, and be praying for the Holy Spirit to work through the Word this Sunday.  See you then!
