Pastor Post - September 1, 2021

This Sunday we will look at Ephesians 4:17-32 and talk about “Taking Off The Old And Putting On The New.”  The Apostle Paul here pictures the transformation of believers by using the metaphor of changing your clothes.  There is an old wardrobe for Christians to remove, and a new one to put on.

Remember to be praying for all our Fall activities:

  • September 11: Night of Prayer and Praise, as we lift up our church, our community, our nation, and our world to the Lord in prayer on the 20th anniversary of 9/11.
  • September 12: Onward Together Sunday with new times for Sunday School (9:00) and one worship service (10:30).  This will be a day of celebration.
  • September 14: Bible Study Fellowship for women.  This will be a wonderful study of Matthew on Tuesday mornings.
  • September 15: Fall Wednesday night ministries begin.  Awana for children, Midweek for students, and some great classes for adults.

Also be in prayer for the world outside our church family.  The people of Afghanistan, the families of our fallen military heroes, the people of Haiti, and the people in the New Orleans/Gulf Coast area as they recover from the hurricane.  There is so much hurt in this fallen world.  Let’s be the light in the darkness, FBC Family.  Love you and see you on Sunday!

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
