By the time you read this, I will be in the Middle East, visiting with some of our churches' workers.  Please hold me up in prayer during these days, that God would make this trip especially fruitful.  Pray for logistics, travel, and most of all for the Holy Spirit to work in and through me to bless and encourage our workers, and learn about the great things God is doing through them. 

This Sunday will be a treat for you.  Jeff Mingee has been a special part of my life for many years, but this will be the first time he has preached here.  Many years ago, when Jeff was a college student, he began attending the church I was pastoring.  He asked if we could begin meeting and talking about the Word, theology, and ministry.  In time, God called him to preach, and our church called him as part of our staff team.  He later went out to plant Catalyst Church, in Newport News, and recently went on staff with the SBCV.  Jeff is a fantastic preacher and you will be greatly blessed!  

Keep me bathed in prayer and I will see you on September 25^th, when we will wrap up our series on Joseph.
