I want to thank you all for praying for me during my recent trip to the Middle East.  We were able to visit a place where no Trustee has ever visited, and where basically no one could visit until the past few years.  What God is doing there is amazing!  This nation is opening to the rest of the world, and God is opening hearts to the gospel.  And you are a huge part of it, through your giving.  

One night, we were driving through a town, praying for the people there.  We drove past a lady in a veil, and someone in the car prayed for her.  One of the people with us remarked, “That is the first time she has ever been prayed for.”  God will do things in this town.  He answers the prayers of his people, and his people were in that town because you sent them there!  

This Sunday we begin a new Fall series on the life of David, called After God’s Own Heart.  I believe God will use this series as we seek His face and His heart.  Will you be praying for it daily?  

We begin this Sunday with a message I am calling, “Setting The Scene.”  Because the life of David is so sprawling and epic, I thought it would be helpful to set the stage a bit.  We will look at 1 Samuel 8-13.  Be reading through these chapters, be in prayer, and call a friend and ask them to meet you here on Sunday.  See you then!
