Pastor Post - December 1, 2021

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Truly, we are blessed…most of all, with a Savior, whose birth we now turn our attention to as we approach Christmas.

This year, for Advent, we will be looking at some Characters of Christmas.  Each Sunday and on Christmas Eve, we’ll focus on some of the figures of the Christmas story and see how they point to Christ.

First up:  The Wise Men.  This Sunday we’ll dig into Matthew 2:1-12 and talk about “The Wise Men: Seeking The King.”

Just as the wise men brought gifts to present to the King, this will also be a Sunday when you are encouraged to bring your Lottie Moon Christmas Offering gift to the altar.  At the end of our service, we’ll invite you to come forward and worship the King, by giving toward an offering that will enable the good news about Him to be carried to people around the world.  What a joyous privilege!  Come prepared to give generously, sacrificially, and perhaps, extraordinarily.  You will give no more important or eternal gift this Christmas.  We do so because God’s greatest Gift – our Lord and Savior – has been given for us.

On Sunday evening, we will enjoy a time of Christmas Celebration: An Evening of Songs and Scripture.  What could be better than joining in with other brothers and sisters in singing the great songs of Christmas, which will be blended in with readings of the Christmas story!  It will be a beautiful time of worship together.

It’s a big Sunday.  Be praying toward it, and I’ll see you then.

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,
