Pastor Post - July 18, 2018

Wasn’t it incredibly wonderful to see the entire front of our sanctuary covered with junior and senior high students this past Sunday?! Pray for our 60 folks as they experience Mission Fuge this week, in Nashville, Tennessee. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in them and through them in life-changing ways.

It is with mixed feelings that we prepare to say good-bye to Michael and Mary Jane Turner, who have been a part of our FBC family for almost 17 years. During that time, Michael has rendered faithful service to the Lord as our Associate Pastor of Worship. We are deeply thankful to Michael for using his gifts to serve the King here, but we are also deeply thankful to the Lord for what he has in store for the Turners, as they move to Philadelphia as part of the church planting team for Redemption Heights Church. The impact they will have on this new church will be incalculable!

Be praying for them as they transition. And remember: “Where God guides, He provides.” He will provide us with the right person to lead our worship ministry. Be praying for that, for Michael and Mary Jane, and for Redemption Heights Church as it launches and grows.

This week, we will look at the second half of Romans 9. Our text will be Romans 9:14-33, as we talk about the theme, “Let God Be God.”

I’ll see you on Sunday!

By His Grace, For His Glory, To The Nations,

Dr. Thurman Hayes, Jr.
